Artificial Intelligence is transforming the way organisations operate. However, many organisations are adopting AI faster than they are governing it. AI Governance Partners was founded after I faced this challenge myself. While navigating AI adoption within my organisation, I discovered that practical AI governance guidance was difficult to find. I designed and implemented a governance system to support the safe, controlled and accountable adoption of AI because no practical framework met the needs of executive leaders. That experience became the foundation of AI Governance Partners. Today, that same approach helps other leaders adopt AI with confidence, accountability and control.

"AI Governance Partners was not created to follow a trend. It was created to solve a leadership challenge I experienced firsthand"

Throughout my career, I have spent more than three decades leading organisations operating across the energy and infrastructure sectors, where governance, compliance and risk management were fundamental to every decision. Working across multiple countries and highly regulated environments taught me that innovation only delivers lasting value when it is supported by strong leadership and effective governance.

When Artificial Intelligence began transforming the workplace, I embraced its potential rather than fearing it. Like many executive leaders, I recognised that AI could improve productivity, support better decision-making and create new opportunities across the organisation. At the same time, I also realised that AI introduced new governance challenges that traditional management systems were not designed to address.

While navigating AI adoption within my organisation, I searched for practical guidance that would help executive teams implement AI responsibly. Although there were emerging standards, technical frameworks and academic discussions, I found very little that translated into a practical governance model that leaders could confidently apply within a real business environment.

Rather than accept that gap, I designed and implemented an AI governance system that established clear accountability, practical controls and executive oversight, enabling AI to be adopted safely and responsibly while supporting innovation. That experience fundamentally changed the way I viewed AI, not simply as a technology, but as a leadership responsibility.

AI Governance Partners was created to make that experience available to other organisations. Today, I work with boards, executive teams and business leaders to help them adopt AI with confidence by combining executive leadership experience with practical governance that protects the organisation while enabling innovation.

I believe AI governance should never become a barrier to innovation. It should become the foundation that allows organisations to innovate with confidence.

For more than three decades, I have held executive leadership positions across international organisations operating in the energy, infrastructure and maritime sectors. Throughout my career, I have been responsible for leading regional operations, supporting boards and executive teams, driving business transformation and ensuring governance within highly regulated environments.

My professional experience spans operational leadership, commercial management, strategic planning, risk management and organisational governance across multiple countries in the Middle East and beyond. Working at executive and board level has given me first-hand experience of balancing innovation with accountability, commercial objectives with compliance, and strategic ambition with operational reality.

Artificial Intelligence represents the next major transformation facing organisations. My focus is helping executive leaders navigate that transformation responsibly by establishing practical governance that enables innovation while protecting the organisation.
